IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS BY SIGNAL BASIS ORTHOGONALIZATION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
It is shown that from the equidistant biased impulse response of normalized filters one can create a quasi-orthogonal weight basis. It is concluded that when certain requirements are carried out the conversion of a normalized filter into a low-pass filter with a predetermined cutoff frequency or into a bandpass filter with a center frequency and a bandwidth given does not alter the orthogonality conditions. It is suggested to use the signals received by the specified basis for data transmission. The dependence of the maximum speed of data transmission in the proposed system on the filter order forming a communication channel, the minimum attenuation of its impulse characteristics and its bandwidth at 3 dB, is obtained. Two options for construction of such signals receiver are indicated. It is shown that in the conditions of inter-symbol interference the proposed method of systems constructing offers better noise immunity in comparison with the classical approach.
