5G BASE STATIONS AND USER EQUIPMENT: ANALYSIS OF TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Abstract (English):
The article presents a brief overview of the fifth-generation (5G) telecommunication networks’ current state and development perspectives. The key characteristics of the 5G standard and technology are analyzed. An overview of application and provision scenarios of mobile communication services in 5G networks is carried out. The architecture and basic technical requirements for the 5G base and user station’s equipment, presented in the 3GPP technical specifications, are considered. The outcome of the brief analytical review of the technologies and developments current state in the field of electronic components base for 5G mobile communication networks in the world and Russia are presented. General requirements for electronic components of radio electronics equipment for these applications are formulated.
