LEE DE FOREST’S PROMOTION OF WIRELESS PHONE INNOVATION IN THE SERVICE MARKET
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The history of the promotion of the wireless telephone innovations on the service market by the American radio engineer Lee de Forest is investigated. The first public demonstration of de Forest's three-electrode audio at the Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences in 1907 is considered. The importance of the Mościcki capacitor in the creation of powerful transmitters for long-distance wireless communication is shown. The telephone arc communication system developed by de Forest is described in detail, which was used in the first broadcasting sessions in the early tens of the 20th century in the United States.
