Аннотация (русский):
Исследована история создания трехэлектродной лампы с небольшим содержанием газа (аудиона) американским изобретателем Ли де Форестом. Подробно рассмотрены детекторы пламени, которые стали прообразом двухэлектродных и трехэлектродных аудионов с газом низкого давления. Уделено внимание спору между Дж. А. Флемингом и Ли де Форестом о приоритете в изобретении вакуумного диода. Показан выбор научного пути в конструировании аудиона (триода) с управляющим электродом.
