Рассмотрены конструкции первых аудионов и технологии по улучшению их конструктивных и электрических характеристик. Отмечены коммерческие особенности реализации аудионов. Представлено производство коммерческих радиоприемников на одном аудионе и некоторые схемные решения этих устройств, а также их маркетинг. Исследована ситуация вокруг аудиона перед судебными исками к De Forest Radio Telephone & Telegraph Company. Подробно показаны патентные разбирательства между Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company of America и De Forest Radio Telephone & Telegraph Company.
